“The City of West Palm Beach has partnered with Barnacle for the past three years. Our recent integration between Barnacle and IPS has been a true game changer for the department. When an enforcement officer encounters a scofflaw, IPS automatically alerts them. The officer can then deploy a Barnacle, and IPS immediately notes that the vehicle has been immobilized. Once the motorist pays through Barnacle, the tickets are automatically updated in IPS, eliminating the need for any manual follow-up.
Previously, officers had to physically crouch down to install a heavy metal boot and, after payment, manually update each ticket one by one.
